GB Open Karate Championships – May 2023 – Results

The ESKF held their biannual Championship the GB OPEN on Sunday 7th May 2023. The championships were held at the University of Birmingham.

Here is a breakdown of the results:

Children’s Individual Kata –  8-9 Years – 6th to 4th Kyu – Mixed

Seniors Individual Kata – 18 Years+ – Novice to 4th Kyu – Male

Veterans Individual Kata –  36  Years+ – Novice to 4th Kyu – Female

Childrens Individual Shobu Nihon Kumite – 10 – 12 Years –  3rd Kyu and Above – Female 145cm+

Seniors Individual Shobu Sanbon Kumite – 18 Years+ – 3rd Kyu and Above – Male 75kg+

Silver – Max Threadwell (ESKA)

Veterans A (36 – 49 Years) – Individual Shobu Sanbon Kumite – Open Grade – Male

Silver – Francis Karemo (ESKA)

Veterans B (50 Years+) – Individual Shobu Sanbon Kumite – Open Grade – Male

Bronze – Andy Conroy (WKA)

Seniors Team Rotational Kumite – 18 Years+ – Open Grade – Male

Bronze – Max Threadwell (ESKA) / Francis Karemo (ESKA) / Mark Jarred (ESKA)

The TSKUK Squad took 11 Medals: 2 Gold / 2 Silver / 7 Bronze.
